KNOW THYSELF: 2018

Communication break-down can occur at any time and in many different settings.  There's Group
Project Anxiety: everyone has great ideas at discussion meetings, but you feel like the only one with a sense of urgency to get any actual work done.  There's Discussion Frustration:  whenever you engage in a discussion with your group, you feel as if your thoughts and ideas are not valued or brushed aside with no regard to your feelings.  And finally, there is just sheer information overload: why is it that after a full day of school, you feel completely zapped of energy, consumed by an overwhelming need to be where people are not?

We all realize that we are social creatures.  We seek out and thrive within interpersonal relationships.
We long to be heard and appreciated, to create and explore.  This is probably not new information.  Rewarding as they may be, however, relationships of every type are complex and not without their difficulties.  People are different.  Where we come from, our experiences, our beliefs, and our DNA all go into who we are, how we see and interpret the world, and how we communicate.

Many corporations have invested large sums of money on consultants with one goal in mind:  to improve inter-office communication and efficiency.  Where do you begin?  The communicators, themselves!  Knowing who you are helps you to better understand how and why you communicate the way that you do.  Knowing who your co-workers are can help you better understand how to communicate with them more effectively and efficiently.

So, as Aristotle taught centuries ago, we will begin by seeking the wisdom that comes from knowing ourselves.  Here is a link to a personality inventory:  http://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test  Once you complete the test, you can have your results emailed to yourself and you can read all about your personality type: how you relate to others, how others see you, how you work, etc.

The test takes about 20 minutes, but it provides a wealth of information as it analyzes four distinct areas of personality and then adds a fifth area that analyzes overall identity.  It is created from a combination of the infamous Myers/Briggs and Carl Jung's Theory of Psychological Types.  The four areas are explained as follows:

1.  Introversion vs Extroversion: (I vs. E) This is more than just "shy" vs. "outgoing."  In fact,
according to Jung, it is really not about that at all.  It has to do more with where you get your energy.  Do you find yourself getting energized when you are around others, or do you find that you need to be away from people to re-energize?
2.  Intuitive vs. Sensing: (N vs. S) Intuitives are creative, imaginative and curious individuals who are open-minded.  They tend to go with novelty over stability and see/feel possibilities.  They tend to have strong discernment in new situations.  Sensing or Observant individuals are practical, pragmatic and down to earth.  They tend to have strong habits and rather than going with their gut, they are more focused on what has happened or what is happening.

3.  Feeling vs. Thinking: (F vs. T) Feeling individuals are sensitive and emotionally expressive.  They are more empathetic and tend to be less competitive than T's.  They tend to focus on social harmony
and cooperation.   Thinkers focus on objectivity and rationality, prioritizing logic over emotion.  They tend to hide their feelings and value efficiency over cooperation.

4.  Judging vs. Perceiving or Prospecting: (J vs. P)  Judging personalities are decisive, thorough and highly organized.  They value clarity, predictability and closure preferring structure and planning to spontaneity.  Perceiving individuals are good at improvising and spotting opportunities.  They are flexible, relaxed, non-conformists who prefer to keep their options open.

Identity Variables of Assertive vs. Turbulent: (A vs. T)Assertive types are confident, self-assured and pretty resistant to stress.  They do not push themselves too hard.  The turbulent types are self-conscious and sensitive to stress. They are perfectionistic types who experience a wide array of emotions.

So, test away, and then....
1.  IDENTIFY YOUR FOUR LETTER PERSONALITY, then put a dash, and A OR T.
2.  COMMENT ON ANY SURPRISES OR EXPECTATIONS.
3.  NOW, as a BONUS, click this link, and find out if you are more left or right brained, and let me know your results!  https://www.arealme.com/left-right-brain/en/

For example:  I am an INFJ - T.   This was absolutely no surprise to me, but a big surprise to those who know me, as I come across as an extrovert (SO not true!)   I think this is because I am a people pleaser, a trait I am working hard on to mellow.  I am also a J, but BARELY.  I need to feel organized in my environment, but DO NOT open any drawers!  They show my true, right-brained, messy creativity!  Now, it's your turn!

  1. I have taken this test many times in the past with the same result every time - ENFP. But this time I got different results. I took this personalty test two times, each time getting a different thing. The first time I got ENFJ and the second ENTJ. I realized through this that I now value organization much more than I used to with my P consistently turning to a J, though I still believe myself to be an open-minded individual who enjoys spontaneity. I know that I am definitely an extrovert with a more intuitive, novel and creative way of thinking. This was evident in every test that I took throughout my life. But what I found really interesting is that the first test gave me 51% feeling and 49% thinking, the other gave me 49% feeling and 51% thinking. I feel like this honestly demonstrates my personality, for a lot of my decision making relies on logic, but equally as much on emotion. I feel like my right brain vs left brain test really mirrored this. I got 60% right brained and 40% left brained, as I tend to think more creatively, love being around people, and enjoy bouts of spontaneity, but I still value organization, logic and efficiency.

    1. Same as Gwyn, Christian, and Noah--although Noah is very close to an S rather than an N. ;)

  2. I have never taken this test before, and this made it a fun and new experience. When I have taken tests like this in the past, I believe that they have either been partially correct or just incorrect, but this one was surprisingly accurate. My results were ENFP-T. Most of the subsections had a large percentage towards one side, which I found interesting (69% extraverted, 60% intuitive, 71% feeling, 67% prospecting and 60% turbulent). I have found myself to be more extraverted and social as I have gotten older and met more people. I am also analytical and spend a lot of time reflecting and thinking about the deeper meaning of the things I do. At first I was not sure that the campaigner personality type was mine, but as I read on through the descriptions, I was baffled to see the accuracy. I was surprised by the left-brained result of the other test as I'm usually creative and love people, but the percentages were very close (56% left, 44% right). This was a fun activity for me to learn and reflect on!

    1. All three of my children have the same personality type as you! :) You may find that the percentages shift over time, and while the shift may be small, it can push you to one letter over another, so if you are close in any, there is always room. :)

  3. I have never taken a test like this before. I am INFJ-T. I was very surprised when my results came back to show that I was almost 50% Intuitive and 50% Observant. I was also surprised when the percentages for Introverted (58%) and Extroverted (42%) were closer than I thought they would be. However, it did not surprise me at all when the test said that I was 85% Feeling and 15% Thinking. It did not surprise me when it said that I was 74% Judging because I consider myself to be very organized. I strongly agreed when it said that I was 74% Turbulent because I know that I am a very emotional human being. This would explain why my brain is left-brained (60%) but I am relatively close to being right-brained (40%).

    1. You may notice then the N may shift to an S and vice-versa throughout your life, depending on the demands you face in your journey. It will be interesting to see what happens over time! :)

Cheers to the INFJ-T personalities! I believe we are only 1-2% of the population!

  4. I believe for the second time, I have gotten "Defender," otherwise known to be ISFJ-T. It says on the website that I am 61% introverted which I think would be a bit exaggerated. I usually am social up until a certain point where I just want to be alone. Additionally, the way in which I choose to handle my emotions is very inward and I enjoy being alone. This isn't to say I don't like being social; it really just changes depending on my emotions and my motivations from day to day. I could be chatty-Kathy or I could just want to be locked away in my room, reading a book and silencing all outside contact. I think that the chart calculating "Nature" is off, as well. I would say I am a lot more emotional than logical, however, it says it's about 50-50.

Obviously, I must give this technology the benefit of the doubt; it isn't exactly accurate, however, with my inputted responses, I would say the rest is pretty close to how I would see myself: I underestimate myself and my abilities (Identity - Turbulent = 79%; "They have a tendency to underplay their accomplishments..."), I am meticulous when I work (Tactics - Judging = 71%) and I tend to be laid back in that I don't necessarily choose to just put myself out there in social situations unless called for (in which I usually get nervous; Energy - Observant = 53%).

I was expecting to get something around this because I believe I did last year. As I was reading through the qualities of a "Defender/ISFJ-T," I was so shocked to be reading what I believed to embody the qualities of myself: "Defender personalities (especially Turbulent ones) are often meticulous to the point of perfectionism, and though they procrastinate, they can always be relied on to get the job done on time... Naturally social, an odd quality for Introverts, Defenders utilize excellent memories not to retain data and trivia, but to remember people, and details about their lives... They may never be truly comfortable in the spotlight, and may feel guilty taking due credit for team efforts, but if they can ensure that their efforts are recognized, Defenders are likely to feel a level of satisfaction in what they do that many other personality types can only dream of." It was so cool reading this; it, oddly, gave me a confidence boost, something I rarely seem to experience. Reading it, I felt warmth and appreciation, from the author writing this article, for me being the shy and helpful person I see myself am.

Additionally, according to https://www.arealme.com/left-right-brain/en/, I am left-brained, same as last year, however, my percentages are more even: I am 56% left-brained and 44% right-brained. Last year I believe it was a more drastic range between the numbers.

  5. I have taken this test many times and I have always gotten INFJ-T. However this time, I was ENFJ-T. This surprised me a little because I don't feel like my personality has changed that much since last year, but I do feel like I have become more of an extrovert over the years. This personality type makes up 2% of the population and is quoted as a "natural born leader," which doesn't surprise me as I often take the lead in most situations. As I read the traits, it sounds exactly like me and I'm actually shocked by how much I related. My mom often tells me that I trust too much, and the article said that my personality types "the interest Protagonists have in others is genuine, almost to a fault – when they believe in someone, they can become too involved in the other person’s problems, place too much trust in them." My strengths and weaknesses completely line up.
Additionally, I took the Left or Right Brain test last year and I was 50/50 for both sides. This year I am 53% left brain and 43% right brain, which very much surprised me because I feel that if I were to be more inclined one way, it would be the right side of the brain. However, I do see how I am very analytical and objective and the left side suggests.

  6. This is the first time I have ever taken a test like this and I was super excited to see what I would get. After taking the test, I got ENTP- also known as the Debater. The main thing that really surprised my was that it said I was an extrovert. Reading through the descriptions of each characteristic I thought I would be everything it said I was except an extrovert. I have always seen myself as an introvert because I really value the time I get to JUST think and be with myself, it helps me slow down and fuel up for my fast pace days. Then I thought about it and I realized that a crowd can pep me up but I still feel more like a introvert.

As a Debater it said we “develop…. a better understanding of opposing ideas” which I find myself doing a lot. When I don’t agree with what someone says I try to understand them not for what they are saying but the reason they say what they are saying. I find it fascinating to uncover the manners in which people are led to their decisions and beliefs, no matter whether I agree with them or not.

When I took the left brain versus right brain test, it said that I was dominantly left brain which makes sense because I rely a lot on logic. Though I do love my right brained moments especially when I paint or draw, things that I enjoy doing but find myself doing it less. :( Though I do try to make a little time for a little art in my life.

Overall I found it really interesting that even though I was ENTP-A, for the most part, all of the scores were relatively close to 50/50. I think it shows my prospecting characteristic because I always kinda adapt to whatever I have to be in the moment.

  7. As I read this blog, I predicted that I am an INFJ-T due to the description of each individual trait. However, I didn’t get this result. I am a ISFJ-T, which is exactly what I got last year. I remember this as a shock to me last year but now I feel like it’s a pretty good description of me. (ISFJ is the defender )
A result that did surprise me was that I am more right brained than left brained. When I took that test last year, I got a 63% left brain 37% right brain. This year, I had a more even split between the two sides with a 54% right brain tendency and a 46% left brain.
Honestly, this makes sense because recently I have tried to draw and write more. This would make me use the right side of my brain more and may have even led to an increased use of it. Overall, both of these results are reasonable and can be justified by either my recent actions or my personality.

  8. I've taken a lot of tests similar to this one;however,I have never taken this particular test. Typically, I am a good mix between an introvert and extrovert. I exhibit strong qualities of both but exhibit them depending on my mood and the situation. For this test, got ENTJ-A. Although, with this said, many of my subcategories were within 10% of being 50/50.

I think this is a fair assessment of my personality. I have found that I prefer to be by myself and gain a lot of solace from being solitary. Although, I am a natural leader and can step up to be outgoing and assertive when I am called to. Again, it often depends upon my mood and whether the situation calls for it.

With the organization aspect of the test, I was surprised that I wasn't heavily organized. I am one of those people who are naturally organized and don't overly stress or worry about being in order. Due to this, I think my results turned out to be around 50/50 because although I am organized, I do not make a conscious effort to plan everything out.

For the second test, I got left-brained. I expected this result and but also agreed that I got a little right-brained too. I am a very analytical person - I get that from both of my parents. I noticed myself strongly agreeing with a lot of the "left-brain" answers and I didn't have a lot of hesitation about this test.

  9. I've taken this test probably about 5 times overall in my life if not more and have always gotten the same answer- ENFP-T. I always have been more social than stuck in my head and felt emotions stronger than most, especially my own and occasionally other's. I'm v impulsive and shifting so turbulent is truly my nature. Every percentage I had was in a range from 67-78%, so I certainly am biased towards my heart, but I don't seem to leave my mind completely out of the equation. Although, I don't know how much of a 'Campaigner' I am in my own life.

As for left or right brained, I have gotten varying responses for the few times I've taken it, with this time being right brained in a 46-54 split. I would say I am definitely more imaginative no matter what, I get lost in my head and stories very frequently and art has always been more interesting than math or science, but that has never meant that I wasn't proficient in them. I have a low sense of organization in my personal life, but when it comes to my work, I can care v much about organization and whether it looks clean and good. Both of these tests results make sense, but that could be all because I want them to make sense and fit me so I can have a label for me to be able to use.

  10. Ever since the first time I took the "personality test", I have been an ENFJ-A, and I was EXTREMELY PROUD. Those are until this year, where I have become an ENFP-A. Although the change is minor in regards to my personality, I have taken this harder than I thought I would; what could I have done in order to get these results? What has changed in my life to make my personality prospecting instead of judgmental? The percentage is small, where I have a 58-42% difference between the two.
After completing the left-right brained analysis, I got the exact same as last year, with a 60-40 split, making me more geared toward the right side of the brain. I wasn't surprised by this because my personality and mind are very out of the box and intuitive, but I still have passions for math and science studies.

  11. Honestly, I don't even remember what I was last year with this personality test. I'm certain that things hadn't changed that much...

This test showed me that I had a protagonist's personality. My type was:
    (ENFJ-T)

    E- Extroverted (72%)
I would say that this is correct. I love talking and being social but there are times when I'm definitely not as social. For example, right now as I am filling this out in my I&S class, I'm in a situation where I won't talk to anyone, but that's because I am a busy person. Right now I need to focus and get as much done at school as I can before I go home and have a few hours to do more work and go to sleep. However, in other situations, like in cheer, my job, or in group work I'm always the one that's talking and making jokes. I love to make others happy.
    I- Intuitive (56%)
This trait is very close to the other mental-thinking trait Observant. I would say personally I think that I am observant and very much reflective, but, of course, that's an after-the-fact trait.
    F- Feeling (51%)
Between feeling and thinking there is almost a 50/50 split. I'd say this accurately represents who I think I am as a person. Most of the time I struggle in taking too long to decide something (mostly that's with things that have a bit more weight in my life) and I weigh out if it is a situation where I need to feel for the best option or thinking about the situation.
    J- Judging (61%)
This is accurate. I do judge a situation a lot.
    T- Turbulent (56%)
    Accurate.

Left-brained Individual. I hoped I was more in the middle, or at least a bit more right-brained.

  12. When taking both the tests I ended up getting a left brained E.N.F.P-A which is kind of ironic because to be left brained is more methodical where as the 16 personalities describes me as being Extroverted and to take feeling over thinking. This result does not surprise me however because I would interpret many of my actions in life to be both based on feeling and based on thought, plus the thought of being a walking contradiction is entertaining. The 16 personalities talks a lot about a "Little spark of madness" and up until reading that it was something that I hadn't noticed. I was really surprised by the things that, up until that moment I hadn't realized that I did, I simply went on doing them. Like inspiring others and talking the initiative in social situations. It was interesting to see that I had been painfully unaware of some of the things that I did to affect those around me for better or worse. But the cornerstone of it all was the flaws, upon reading the information it dawned upon me things that I could improve as a person like poor practical skill, or to carry ideas to fruition . Two more interesting note are that Robin Williams one of my favorite actors and comedians of all time is in fact the same as myself and that Campaigners are most likely to celibate Halloween my favored holiday.

  13. I've taken this test several times before and I've gotten the same result pretty much every time. I tried taking the test several different ways in the past just to see how it would impact my results, but this time I just answered with whatever immediately jumped out at me. The profile that I got was ISTJ-T, or "The Logistician". I would say that this describes me pretty well. Nothing really stands out as inaccurate; I'm definitely more introverted, observant, thinking, judging and turbulent between the options that are there. The percentages were very high for introverted and observing, which surprised me a little bit because several of the others were closer to the middle. From the other test I got 76% left brained, which is completely in line with my other results.

  14. I am a mediator, INFP-T. I expected to be this exactly, I have taken this test four years in a row and I get the same each time. But, each year it changes just slightly. For example, as an introvert I was at 70%, then 67 to 59, and now 57%. It's interesting that something so small seems to be such an accomplishment to me. As being an introvert is not a bad thing, I like to see that I'm becoming more confident in my decisions and in different social situations.

  15. I believe this is the second time I have taken this personality test with the results almost being the same as the last, I got “The protagonist” or otherwise classified as ENFJ-T which stands for extraverted, intuitive, feeling, judging, and turbulent. As I was reading through the explanation for my personality type, I came to one piece that I really agree with and sums up my personality type, “Protagonists are genuine, caring people who talk the talk and walk the walk, and nothing makes them happier than leading the charge, uniting and motivating their team with infectious enthusiasm.” As I am a part of many clubs that include leadership roles and teamwork, this quote really resonates with me because I do find joy in helping and motivating others, being a leader, and caring as the explanation said. However, I didn’t expect this test to be so on the nose about my personality, it’s fascinating to me that I can now identify who I am a bit better based on the explanations given. Likewise, I can also identify with the protagonist's strengths and weaknesses because it's entirely accurate to the strengths and weaknesses I have. My strengths being qualities like being a natural leader, having tolerance and reliability, which makes sense because I value other people’s opinion and want to be a good team leader who works to create something good with the help of others. Whilst my weaknesses are being too selfless and having a fluctuating self-esteem; which makes so much sense because I always feel bad if I don’t help someone I promised to help or if I feel like I’m not meeting my goals. I always want to do better and when I don’t I feel my self-confidence plummet. I really felt like this helped explain my personality type a lot and I was actually quite surprised with the accuracy and detailing of it.

However, with the left brain or right brain quiz, I was quite surprised with my result of being more left-brained (56%) than right (44%). As when I had taken the same quiz in the past, I had been more right-brained than left. However, I believe as you grow up, you undoubtedly change but I could be wrong so, I am curious as to why I am more logical than creatively inclined now. Still, I feel like this result goes hand in hand with my personality type now which leans more towards the characteristics of the left brain. So, really this shows my true self; a person who values organization and efficiency whilst is also sensitive and open-minded. Although, I still value that 44% of the right-brain's qualities especially when I’m writing a creative essay, painting, doing my makeup, or singing out loud to the radio, I like to think I have sparks of the right brain here and there but I will almost always revolve my decision-making around logic and structure so, primarily always relying on my left side in day to day decisions and understanding while my right side goes to work when creativity and imagination are most needed.

Overall, I feel like both tests helped me realize and understand my personality type a bit more, this helps in understanding who I am and where I stand as a person. It was also super cool to find out that former President Barack Obama and talk show host Oprah Winfrey were also protagonists as well!

  16. I have taken this test before and I have gotten INFP-T. I find that, internally, this personality is true to me, as I am a high fantasy lover and have a tendency to think on the creative side. Most of my interests could be considered whimsical, so I believe this personality fits me the best.

As for the left-right brain test, I have gotten that I am more right-brained, or more imaginative. Although my answers came very close, left-brain being 43% and right-brain being 57%, I still find that I tend to think more creatively and prefer creative work. Although I must admit, I was stuck between Sherlock and Harry Potter since I love both books.

In the end, I have to agree with my results. I tend to be a more creative person and can come up with a lot of good ideas as a result. I prefer theatre over math, writing over calculating, and I love dressing up as my favorite characters and acting as them. I also found it cool that I shared the same personality as J.R.R. Tolkien!

  17. Every time I take this test I get mostly the same thing, it's either INFJ-T or INTJ-T it shifts every time I take it, usually the percentages are close, 51-49, 52-48, it always changes whenever I take it. Nothing else changes though. However my left and right brain tested turned out to be perfectly balanced. 50-50, so that's pretty cool. Nothing much changed from last year.

  18. In the test I received the personality type of: Executive, being ESTJ-A. This doesn't really surprise me, I am a very logical thinker, and mostly observant over intuitive. I am not a very emotional person, and I rarely use emotion to make decisions. I am also left brain dominant, I choose order, and analytical thinking over creative and emotional thinking.

  19. After taking the test I received Entertainer, ESFP-T. I wasn't too surprised by my results, however, there were somethings I felt I could not relate to which was expected. For example, it said entertainers have a great sense of style and an eye for beauty and anyone who has seen me outside of school knows I only own t-shirts and jean shorts. When I took the left/right brain test I was surprised to find out I am more left-sided than right which seems to contradict with my personality test.

  20. In the personality test I received ENFJ-A which really wasn't a surprise to me, because I am a planner and I love being organized. I am also more left brain than right which was a big surprise to me, I see myself more creative and art'sie' than Digital and Math'y'.

  21. The profile I got was ISFJ-T (the defender), which stands for introverted, observant, feeling, judging, and turbulent. I’m pretty sure that this is the profile that I got the last time I took this test, and I’m not really surprised that it has remained the same. While reading through the description of my personality, I found it really accurate. Nothing really came as a surprise to me, except for how extreme my percentages were. Most of my percentages were in the eighties and nineties, showing that there isn’t really an in between for me. I also learned a lot about myself while I looked through my strengths and weaknesses in different aspects of my life. It made me realize that, while I am conscientious of the feelings of those around me, I am also one to suppress my own feelings and to be sensitive about who is aware of them. This leads me to be very careful about who I am comfortable with, which has been both a strength and a weakness in my life.

I also learned a lot about how some people may gain energy through being around lots of people, but some may feel energized through having periods of time alone. Often times I feel guilty about coming home from a social gathering and feeling drained and grateful to have some time to myself, but through taking this test and reading about my personality, I’ve been able to realize that it just depends on where each of us get our energy from.

I also took the brain test and shockingly I got the results of being more left brained than right. I’m not sure what this means but I think that a large portion of this comes from my need to have everything organized, scheduled, planned etc. I have never been a fan of numbers or “logical” reasoning by itself, because I feel as though I have always been more plugged in with my emotions. However, I definitely do not consider myself a creative person, so I guess I understand that my percentages were 40% right and 60% left. These tests together just kind of showed me that while I am sensitive and observant, I also value logic and organization.

  22. For my personality results i got INFP-T this didn't come as a surprise to em because it basically explained me well. I am extremely creative and i feel more for feelings than logic. I dont speak much unless i feel safe or i trust who im speaking to. Im very shy i dont talk to many people and i keep most of my ideas inside. I do find myself drifting into deep thought alot and just daydreaming. The brain test i got Right brain which makes sense since art and music are a huge part of my life. I didn’t find anything surprising in either of these tests i feel like they both perfectly describe me.

  23. I have taken a similar test before this time my results were right where I expected them to be at ENFP-A. It all fits with how I am apart of the world. I am not surprised by any of it because it is how I learn and function. I am a perfect mix of both left and right brained. Which makes sense because I am creative but also good at logical thinking. Overall none of this gained information is surprising.

  24. My answer for personality quiz was different this time. I am ENFJ -A. However, this does not surprise me. I recently went through many personality changes that I perceive as growing as a person. I though it was very interesting that I was a -A. Although I've been told I'm a grounded old soul, I didn't realize that being calm in most cases is a personality trait of mine. My mother usually says that I am very intuitive. I can sense a bad vibe anywhere; even if hidden well. I found it interesting that this is one of the traits that the personality test had given me. I wouldn't say I'm complaining though. The Left or Right brain test gave me a result that wasn't surprising in the slightest. I was more Right brained and slightly left brained. This gave me a bit more confidence in who I am however. I now know why it make sense that art, music, etc. speaks to me in a different way than math, numbers and science. Though, I do think that I have enough left brain to keep myself organized and analytical when the times right. I believe that these quizzes were very interesting, and I would love to see if I change in the future or stay stagnate with my personality.

  26. After taking the test a second time I received a slight difference in personally. The first time I took this test, I was an INFJ. After taking this test again, I am now an INFP-A. I was a bit surprised but I also knew that its somewhat difficult to receive the same results multiple times. I suppose I received the INFP due to that I have become a lot less organized in my room. My room is a mess of computer parts and chords and wires. As for my left and right brain, I am slightly left-brain more so than right brain. Specifically 56% left brain and 44% right brain. The subject that I was strongest with is math. This makes sense because I really enjoy math as a subject and feel more logical in some ways than other. I feel like these tests should be taken every now and then to see how much we change and how much we have grown as individual.

  27. My results for the personality quiz came back as ENFPT. The test claimed me to be “the campaigner” and showed I had a strong diplomatic and social engagement score which somewhat surprised me. I somewhat expected my percentage results in the different categories. However, when I read that I fit into a diplomatic role I was shocked. My personality varies from introvert and extrovert depending on what and who I am surrounded by. I notice myself being more comfortable talking to certain people over others in social situations. My test results on the second test did not surprise me. It showed that I am more right brained, which I figured I would be as I enjoy arts and creative activities over being analytical.

  28. Okay...so first off to preface, this is the third time I have taken this personality test, and I have gotten different results each time. I can't remember what I got the first time, but for the second time I got ENFP-T. I was pretty happy with these results, as when I read the description I thought it matched exactly how I thought of myself. Now, my results are ENTJ-T. When reading the description, I thought this was WAY off. I'm not entirely sure how my results changed, as my second time taking the test was only a few weeks ago. I definitely prefer my old results, as I think they fit me better. As for the right/left brain test, I was 60% left brained. I don't think this surprises me too much, as I usually think of myself as more logical. I'm not sure if that's what I'm really like, but I like to imagine so.

  29. I have taken this test four times prior, and I wasn't surprised by receiving INTP-A Logician as my result. I flip between INTP(logician) and ENTP(debater) every time I take the test. I wasn't surprised by anything about my results from the Myers Briggs test, but my 60% right brain result did a little. I'm not a particularly emotional person, so the only explanation I could come up with for this was that I feel I am a creative person and I'm not very organized.

  30. This is the second time I have taken this test, but I couldn't remember my results. However, it came back to me when I did it again and I realized I got the same classification. I got ESTP-A (entrepreneur) and I wasn't too surprised. The test seemed pretty straight forward as to the answers I would get for myself and it turned out as such. For the left-right brain quiz I was 70/30 left/right. Once again, it wasn't particularly surprising as this is what I've always assumed about myself.

  31. My Meyer Briggs test revealed that my personality type is INTJ- A. I wasn't really surprised by results but it was surprising how accurately the test was able to predict my personality type. My results pointed to being a very curious person who is driven by a goal or plan which I believe is quite spot on. As for which side brain is more dominant I tested to be left brained which I was very surprised by. I typically consider myself a very creative person and am always attempting to approach aspects of my life in the most unique way possible. I think I scored this way as some of the questions I was border line on such as math vs music. I hated music class with a passion but liked art.

  32. Over the course of just one year, my results of both the personality test and the brain test have altered. At this point last year, I was a strong INFP-T, but when I took the test now, I was an ESFP-T. Originally, my mediator results (INFP-T) were very drastic and there was no uncertainty as to which side of each spectrum I belonged on. However, this year almost all of my stats were split down the middle (51%-49% in some cases), except for my -T versus -A portion, which was 91% for -T. I hadn't realized I had changed so much, and now I can actually relate to the strengths and weaknesses for my personality type.

On the other hand, my right brain/left brain test has also altered. Last year, I was left brain inclined with about 56%-44%, and now I am more right brain inclined, at 57% right brain and 43% left. While I'm still pretty split when it comes to this test, I found it interesting that in just one year I had switched from being analytical, rational, objective, and symbolic to being instinctual, emotional, imaginative, creative, art interested, and with a good memory.

Also I had scored more on the right side of my brain then the left .

  34. I took this test a year ago and I the got the same thing. Logician. If you look up Logician you'll get a few star trek references but the 16 personalities website describes it as the "Dreamy Profesor". What's also interesting to note its one of the rarest types especially amongst women.

  35. First off this is not the first time that I've taken this personality quiz. I'm pretty sure by now I have taken it about five to six times. Every time that I have taken this personality quiz I have gotten around the same results of INFJ-T, usually the percentages are just a bit changed. I feel like this personality type describes me because, for this personality type they put others before themselves. For the percentages that I got with this time of taking it were: 24% Extroverted with being 76% Introverted, 74% Intuitive with being 26% Observant, 28% Thinking with being 72% Feeling, 64% Judging with being 36% Prospecting, and 14% Assertive with being 86% Turbulent. These percentages didn't really surprise me all that much because I feel like that this match how I kind of see myself.

Then for the right-left brain quiz, I got 57% right brain and 43% left brain. Which are not very fair off from each other. Even with the percentages not being fair off from being even, I was not surprised that I ended up being a bit more right sided because I do tend to remember lots of information thrown at me and based off my personality I use my emotions for a lot of decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This test revealed that my personality type is INFP-T and that I am a mediator. I believe this test was accurate towards me again this year because I am very introverted. My percentages came down to be:
    Introverted-61%
    Extroverted-39%
    Intuitive-58%
    Observant-42%
    Feeling-78%
    Thinking-22%
    Prospecting-54%
    Judging-46%
    Turbulent-86%
    Assertive-48%.
These percentages didn't really surprise me because this how I see myself and how I generally feel.

As for the right or left brained quiz, I got 70% right brained and 30% left brained. These results didn't surprise either because I like to be creative and do creative things including singing/acting. I am also very emotional but that is just who I am and I am very accepting of it. I like to be creative because it distracts me from the fact that I have anxiety as diagnosed last year and it helps me escape into a new world while I can still be myself and let my creativity sparkle

  37. I'm not really surprise for the personality test, I got the same results as last time; which was Mediator (INFP-T). I completely agree with the results. For instance, Mediators have a live-and-let-live attitude, which is totally my vibe. I don't like the feeling of being constraint, I want to feel free. I am a very down to earth person and I am very open-minded. However, I do take things personally sometimes, such as criticisms and challenges but I'm working on it. And I can be a little difficult to get to know, I'm very quiet and reserved in social environments, sometimes.
For the Right brain or Left brain quiz my results revealed that I'm more right brain than left. I totally agree that I'm right brain because I'm very emotional and creative. I enjoy and live for the arts. I am a dreamer.

Overall I wasn't really surprised with the results, but it was nice to learn more about myself and see if the results matched my own knowledge.

  38. I got INFJ-T. I have definitely changed since the past time I've taken this test because in recent years, I've always been an ISFJ. And while more than 50% of that is still true, I was still kind of expecting to get ISFJ. But I actually have seen myself grown in social situations, which has been a lot better for me. The INFJ-T, as it says on the website, is known as the Advocate. The Advocate is a personality is very rare, taking up less than 1% of people. This is very interesting to me because it's weird for someone to call you 'rare,' but in a way, we all are rare because we all have different opinions about everything and we're all our own persons.
Overall, I understand why I got INFJ-T, and why I've changed over the years.

  39. When I took the test, I am ISFP-T. I am 58% introverted, 54% observant, 71% feeling, 72% prospective, and 72% turbulent. I am more introverted than extroverted which may come as a surprise to my friends but not to me. I am more observant than I am intuitive but I would think I am more intuitive because I am more right-brained than I am left-brained (64% right, 36% left) which is the more creative side. and I am more feeling than thinking. It did not come as a surprise that I am more feeling because I see myself as very empathetic. I am more prospective, which is understandable because I am flexible and more laid back. I am also way more turbulent than I am assertive. I find myself to be self-conscious and I care too much about what people think of me.

  40. This is my second time taking the personality test, and I don’t entirely agree with the overall result. Last time I got ESTJ-A “The Executive,” and this time I got ESFP-A, “The Entertainer,” my extravert level went down 10% to 74% which is still slightly exaggerated in my opinion, as I believe myself to appreciate both the introvert and extrovert qualities in my life. I am still observant in my energy which i agree with, as aI tend to want to experience things, and I do better with facts than brainstorming. The largest contrast was my nature as I am more prone to feeling than feeling, as opposed to last time, as they are complete opposites now, this is strange to me because it says that I am now more likely to cooperate than compete; however I am the most competitive person that I know. I feel like I am easy going in some aspects, like during arguments or school decisions, but in a game, or ‘debating,’ something that I am passionate about, I am likely going to do everything in my power to win. Although I have technically changed from judging to prospecting, my results have been within 5% of equal both times, likely because more decision making opportunities are circumstantial. I have stayed assertive both times now which I do generally agree with.

For the left brain or right brain test, strangely enough, I received a 50-50 right and left brain split. I do agree with this because I use both sides of my brain for different purposes, obviously, and I like being creative, but only to a certain degree, I love analytical thinking, and math has been my strong suit for more of my life. Also, as a career I would like to go into medicine because that is so fascinating to me, but my favorite thing to do is sew clothes and create things! :)

  41. For the personality type test, I got INFJ-T. While I feel most of the personality type fits me (for example, I am very much a perfectionist), I didn't think I was an intuitive thinker, especially since I did the left and right brain quiz and got left brain inclined. This was probably because I think about other people's feelings before I act and the left brain right brain quiz was general analytical thinking. Still, I had never taken one of these personality type quizzes before and now I can finally understand what professionals and even some other "what _____ you are based on your personality" type charts I see every so often.

  42. This was my first time taking this specific personality test, so I was excited to see what I got as my results. I ended up getting INFJ-T, which is an advocate. It wasn’t so surprising to me, because all of the percentages seemed to be close to what I predicted before taking the test. I got 76% introverted, 60% intuitive, 56% feeling, 61% judging, and 79% turbulent. I completely agree with the results, as they describe my personality almost spot on. For example, as an advocate, we tend to mostly be soft-spoken, but we do have very strong opinions and show deep determination in our actions. We act with creativity and imagination, and seek to help others constantly.

For my right brain vs. left brain quiz, my results revealed that I was 60% left brain and 40% right brain. These outcomes actually surprised more than the previous one, as I expected to be more right brained, mainly because I’m very creative and enjoy anything hands-on. However, I still tend to be very organized and analytical at the same time.

I found both of these tests very interesting, and it was nice to learn more about myself, and to find out if I matched my predictions prior to taking the quizzes.

  43. I got ISFP-T. This my second time taking this test and I got the same results both times. The first time was in 8th grade. I guess this means I haven't grown since 8th; not only physically but also mentally. Getting introverted didn't surprise me. Other people think that I'm extroverted because I can be outgoing in certain situations. This just my brain telling me the stop being awkward and be social when in reality taking to people drains me of energy. I was actually split pretty evenly between intuitive and observant. I thought maybe I would be more intuitive because I am very curious. I love researching and learning new things. I suppose what really makes me observant due to my inability to think outside of the box sometimes. I'd rather focus on what's happening around me in this very instant than worry about what could happen. I am a very emotional person, so feeling came as no surprise. I really don't doubt that I'm prospecting. I am very indecisive. Also, what other call wishy-washy, I called being adaptable and flexible. If a tree is firm and stubborn, the storm will snap the trunk. However, if the tree is soft and flexible it will bend with the wind. It is also true that I am very self conscious and sensitive to stressful situations. I found out that I am 56% to 44% left brain inclined. I assumed that I would be about 50 50. I have been involved with music for a long time and I play multiple instruments. However, I also exceed in academic areas, including math.

    ReplyDelete
  44. In the personality quiz I got ISTJ-A. I wasn't really expecting to be categorized under Logistician because the last time I took this quiz I got Defender. I assumed that I haven't changed and that I would get the same personality type. This new personality does make sense though because it is in the same category as a Defender, under Sentinels.

I got 60% introverted and 40% extroverted which does make sense. I tend to be more on the shy side when it comes to large groups or new people but when I'm with friends or people I'm comfortable with I can be pretty outgoing. I also got pretty equal amounts of observant and intuitive (54%:46%). I feel like this goes hand in hand with the extroverted aspect because I do tend to analyze situations before I do anything spontaneously, mostly out of fear of doing something wrong. I am also 54% thinker and 46% feeler which once again relates to being more observant than intuitive. For judging versus prospecting I got 76%:24%. This makes sense because I am more on the organized and thorough side when it comes to certain things like school. I'm also 57% assertive and 43% turbulent. This also makes sense because I would say that I am confident and self-assured in certain aspects of my life and I don't become stressed easily. The times when I am most stressed is when I am out under pressure but even then I can calm myself down and de-stress in the moment.

After taking the right or left brain quiz, I found out that I am 40% left brain and 60% right brain. The right brain is the more creative, imaginative side which doesn't really correlate with my results of the personality quiz. My personality quiz revealed I am more considerate of logic but the brain quiz showed I am more considerate of creativity and imagination. I would like to think that I am an equal blend of both :)

  45. E- Extroverted (58%)
--I do have to say that I am not at all surprised about this result. About a year ago, I took this same test, scoring within the range of 80 percent introverted. I used to be extremely introverted, afraid to really express myself, and not very many people knew who I really was. However, I have really opened up within the past year, and I have really embraced the feeling of enjoying life and accepting how weird and unique I am. Many of my closest friends have remarked that I used to be so reserved, but now they see me as a weirdo and more outgoing person, especially compared to how I used to be.

    N- Intuitive (58%)
--I feel that this rings true, as I am more generally going to use my intuition and trust my gut when it comes to situations. However, despite intuitive being more dominant, I also can understand why I still receive 42% on observant, as I have a rather good ability to observe everything within my environment, especially when it comes to observation with spacial awareness.

    F- Feeling (76%)
--This rings true to me. I am a very emotional person, so feelings in general have a very deep and profound effect on me. While I still would like to think before I take action, my emotions do play a very big role in many situations.

    P- Prospecting (68%)
--I do not have much to add in this field. After attempting to look further into the idea of having a "prospecting" or "prospective" personality, I seem to gather that it means that one is more flexible and open to options or ideas, and looks into possibility and chance rather than judging and remaining more strict to a belief or a plan.

    T- Turbulent (60%)
--I would agree with this assignment. I can be sensitive to stress sometimes, experience a very wide range of emotions, and I am very very eager to improve, should I have the opportunity to do so.

    --

    Left or Right Brain?
I happen to be 66% left-brain and 34% right-brain. The test believes me to be more symbolic and rational than creative and keen to using art and imagination. I do support this result, as I am not generally an extremely creative person in general, and I do tend to be more direct and straightforward as seen with left-brain. However, I noticed that emotion was categorized with the right-brain side, and although I would identify more with the left-brain result, emotion does take up a bigger role in my life, so perhaps we could adopt a trait and keep the best of both worlds :)

Overall, I loved this assignment. I love taking any test or quiz that lets me express who I am, and the 16Personalities quiz, along with the left-right brain quiz, really do provide me with more insight into who I really may be (and it's actually freaky accurate!).

  46. Personally, I have never taken a personality test like this before, therefore it was an interesting way of finding out more about myself and my individual traits. My results came out to being a defender with very strong personal traits of ISFJ-T. It was quite interesting to discover that my results were not far off from what I had expected before taking this test which, ultimately, is what surprised me the most.

Something that did catch me a bit by surprise however, was the fact that I came out being a 68% introvert. While I would consider myself as extremely shy to new acquaintances, I feel that most times my energy comes from being surrounded by others, rather than being by myself. I truly wonder whether this is accurate or not, and if this trait of mine will shift in the future!

What I did find to be rather truthful however, was of me be extremely turbulent. In accordance to the test, I am 78% turbulent and, although I wish I could deny this, it seems to be quite accurate. This is for sure a quality of mine that I am working hard to loosen out of. I am very guilty of being self conscious for everything and anything I do, due to the fear of what people may think or say about me!!

Lastly, after taking the right brain vs. left brain quiz, I discovered that I am an exact mixture of both. The test revealed 50% right brained and 50% left brained, which I am not completely surprised about. In fact, before taking the test I tried to challenge myself and try to guess what my results would ultimately reveal, however I simply couldn't decide. I truly feel that in certain occasions or circumstance I become very analytical and systematic in my decision making, yet other times my emotions and creative instincts kick in and cause me to feel otherwise.

All things considered, these tests proved to be a very fun way of discovering my true traits, yet what I more clearly discovered was that I know much more about myself than I had previously thought;))

I took the right/left brain quiz and I got left brained which I expeceted just based on what I know about left and right brained qualities. Overall I got the results I thought I was going to get, I think these tests are really fun to take every year just so you can see if you changed or not and if so how you changed. I find the human brain so intresting and that we can use technology today and find out what type of person we are and how our brains work.

  48. In regards to the personality test, I have recieved ESTP-A which is an entrepenuer. I am not suprsied at all due to the fact that I love to help others and im very outgoing when it comes to negotiating with a group of individuals. I also am not afraid to try new things and push myself to see what im capable of. When checking if I was left or right brained it say I was 56% right brained and 46% left brained. I did not find this quite shocking because I tend to always ask for visual aid such as more creative ways rather than the ideal ways to do things. Last year when I took this test I got left brained which I find interesting because it proves that we all change and develop new traits over time. For example, in mathematical situations rather than trying to solve a problem with a lot of numbers in an ideal numerical fashion, I always ask for a creative way. This is because it appeals to me more visually and not only that it makes more sense and looks more organized so I comprehend whats going on in the problem. Thus, I believe that both the test I took brought out different sides of me that I have not yet considered and I have also enjoyed doing this once again because it has displayed who I have bcome in the time frame of one year.

  51. I received the personality type of Executive (ESTJ-T). In the past, I have taken this test and I received the personality type of Protagonist (ENFJ-T), which in relation to my current result is quite a different personality type. It must be noted, however, that I am around 50/50 in the first three categories which could be why the result changed so dramatically. These personality tests are always very intriguing to me, but the confidence that goes with my personality almost always says I have high self-esteem which is most definitely not true. Overall though, both personality types matched how I am quite well, but my opinion of myself also seems to change from day to day, so I commonly will get a different result depending on how my day is going.

When I took the left-or-right brain test, my results were that I use my left brain 63% of the time. I agree with this, as I am diagnosed with OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder), meaning the organization is definitely something that matches my personality. I do however believe that I use my emotional brain for the majority of my decisions, but I am medicated so that could be making a major difference.

As for both results, I agree with the answers besides the emotional stability, but the emotional side of my personality is confusing so I can understand why a simple online test can get it wrong... or why I could be getting it wrong. Cool test! I’d like to discuss my answers with the other kids in the class; it would be neat to find similarities and differences between the people I get along with and those I don’t get along with. :)

  52. In the personality test I received (ESFJ-T). I was surprised to be more extroverted than introverted because usually I tend to keep to myself, but then again the percentages were closer to 50/50 so it makes sense that I'm a little bit of both. None of the results necessarily surprised me, because I already knew this stuff about myself. Which relates to my result of being observant. The test also revealed I am 72% NOT confident in myself, which also makes sense. I used to be confident but not so much anymore. The brain test results said I was more left brain inclined which also didn't surprise me. When answering the questions I realized I plan everything out, especially my day. I like to have a schedule to manage my time and I prefer to stick to it, although sometimes I miss my time marks to get some things done. I also noticed when it asked me to close one eye, I closed my left eye instinctively. When I was asked to draw a C on my forehead, I drew it with my left hand. Also when I used to do spirit line in junior high, I could always do the left splits but not the right. That probably has nothing to do with your brain but I've always noticed I use the left side of my body more, despite being right handed. It was nice taking this test though and being certain of my exact personality.

  53. I have never taken this before! But I got ENTJ-A. Which doesn’t surprise me. Everything made sense, I’m pretty outgoinging and organized when I want to be, but what did surprise me was I am told I think over feel, which I don’t think is true, I am such a baby when it comes to things. If I ever try to defend myself I end up crying, it’s just me. But, I am extremely bossy and like to do things my way, so maybe that is what changed it. I really do think that this suits my personality most of the time. Though, if I took this on a different day I would have probably gotten something totally different. When I did the brain side test, I was surprised when it asked me to close one eye. Because I am left handed but I closed my right eye. When I throw a ball I also use my right hand. And I hear better out of my right ear. It’s odd to know and find out these things. :)

  54. First off I have taken the personality test at least four times now and each time the reasons are very similar. My personality is INFJ-T, this doesn't surprise me. My percentages are 40% extrovert and 60% introvert, 51% intuitive and 49% observant, 33% thinking and 67% feeling, 60% judging and 40% prospecting, and 28% assertive and 72% turbulent. These results really don't surprise me at all because I am a very introverted person who tends to think with my feelings more than reasoning and at times I am not the most calm at all. I don't know how corresponding that is to my brain seeing I am 53% left and 47% right; being a left brain inclined person. It was really interesting to take these tests and it was really in lighting about my self.

  55. Interestingly, though I feel as though I've grown and changed a lot over this past year, my results on both tests didn't change very much. I took the Myers-Briggs test twice, and both times got INFP-T. One thing that caught my attention was the feeling vs thinking category. I'm pretty sure that last year it was more defined, but this time around, I was walking on a razor's edge as to what category I would be placed in. I got 49% thinking and 51% feeling, and I feel like that's really accurate, as I've tried to think about important decisions logically rather than go with my gut. I also strongly agree with the strengths and weaknesses portion of the Mediators, especially the part about being idealistic to a fault. For my right/left brain test, I got the exact result as last year, that being split right down the middle. In reality I feel that I might be a little more left brained, mostly because I don't feel as though I'm that creative. Overall, even though I wasn't surprised with my results, this was still a fun exercise in self-awareness!

    1. That actually makes sense to me for you on T vs. F. I can see you being close. Also not surprised that you are balanced brained, as you are good at logical and creative subjects.

  56. Taking the personality test for the 4th time, I still have had the same results. ENFP. This is entirely accurate as I am very outgoing and rely on feelings rather than logic for a lot of my reasoning. I feel like this personality matches up with how I feel I live my life and portray myself very accurately. It is also the same personality as one of my favorite on screen series characters, Michael Scott from The Office!! :))

As for my left right brain quiz, it changed from what it previously was. I used to be mostly right brained, but after taking this test again, it gave me my results as a "left right balanced." I am an exact 50% in each my left and right brained, so I am completely balanced on each side. That makes a lot of sense to me because I do think I have changed in that aspect of things. It makes me happy to know however that I am equal on both sides, so I have strengths in both areas rather than one predominantly.

  57. This was my second year taking the test and I have to say I was not surprised with the answers I received. Last year, I was both and INFP-T and leaning closer to 60% right brained, whereas this year I have grown or evolved to being an ENFP-T as well as a 50/50 balance of both right and left brained. Switching to extrovert wasn't a shock to me because I've been wanting to become more outgoing, and by taking risks I would have never done (and learning I enjoy them) my extroverted side is coming out a bit more, recently. With this, I also think it has only been held down or repressed by my need for others to accept me, and a fear of rejection is what made me shy away from speaking my thoughts or opinions, or even basic expression of myself in public. On top of that, I have been able to be open minded enough to other people's beliefs, puzzle solving techniques, and thinking abilities in order to benefit my own, so although I'm still very creative and a creative thinker overall, I've also dived into the world of math and science (or more specifically astronomy and astronautical engineering) as a passion and probable career choice for myself.

    Here were my final results!
58% Extroverted (last year, this was around 64-70% Introvert)
    76% Intuitive
    79% Feeling
    75% Prospecting
84% Turbulent (last year, this was higher by at least 10%)

  58. I got ENFP-T, which (I think) is the same as last time.
I'm 76% extroverted, 71% intuitive, 76% feeling, 78% Prospecting, and 51% Turbulent. I'm pretty sure that, with the exception of the turbulence, my results only got more intense, which is actually kind of dope, as that shows personal growth in a sense. The other quiz told me that I was 46% left brained, and 54% right brained, but I feel like that is not necessarily the case based on the results of my first quiz results.

  59. My results show that I am an Executive, ESTJ-A. I am 71% extroverted, 59% observant, 67% thinking, 60% judging, and 75% assertive. Last week, I had to take this test for the psychology class I am taking, so I understand a little about the background of this test, and why personality is important in the Psychology world. Most of these did not come as a surprise to me. I am pretty assertive, and mostly extroverted. I agree with the fact that I am only mostly observant, but it was pretty close, because I am good at improvising and being intuitive when I need to be. the same thing goes for judging, because it is split pretty 50/50 on whether I have a set plan and know everything I want to do, or if I want to be spontaneous and adventurous, which also happens pretty often. The split is shown usually between school and my personal life, and I tend to be very organized during school and work, but more adventurous in my social life. I also agree with the fact that I am generally assertive and I generally think instead of feel in all aspects of life. For the second quiz, I am only slightly right brained, by 4%. I am 52% right brained and 48% left brained, which I think is pretty accurate, as I believe I exhibit both.

  60. This test determined that I was a ISFJ-T which means I am
    64% introverted
    58% observant
    57% feeling
    53% judging
    75% turbulent
This came to no surprise to me because I have always felt to be more of an introverted person unless put in a situation where I have to communicate with others. For example, I have always cooperated in group projects and I've been easy to communicate with because I worry so much about my grades and because I know how frustrating it would be for my group mates if I didn't communicate properly. I also take the feelings of others into consideration more than my own when I know my actions will have consequences to not only myself but others, hence the 57% feeling. Personaly I feel like this trait is a very good trait to have because although I don't have lots of friends due to my introvertness (not sure if that's even a word...) I am very close with the friends I have because of my feelingness (again, not sure if that's a word). Overall I think this test was pretty accurate with the results and cleared up any doubts I and about my self and my personality. :)

  61. I am an ENTP-T also called the debater or the devil’s advocate. I have taken this personality test about a year ago and got INTP. I think it’s interesting to think that in a year I could switch from being more introverted to being more extroverted, but everything else is the same. Although the test came up as extroverted, I’m only 53% extroverted and 47% introverted which to me seems too close to definitively claim one or the other. I do, however, think that this small gap between extroverted and introverted shows how I’m more outgoing when I’m around people and when I “have” to be, but I still cherish my alone time. The others for energy, nature, and tactics, weren’t as close coming in at 73% intuitive, 88% thinking and 88%prospecting, none of which was really surprising. As for more specifics, I found the strengths and weaknesses hard to bare. As much as I enjoyed all the strengths, the weaknesses all were hard for me to accept even though I know that they all fit well into my personality. I have been trying to be more sensitive to others and stay more focused with my school work, so for those two weaknesses to show up under the ENTP personality was something I should have saw coming. The final part of my personality was the T for turbulent at the end. This result, however, was also 53% T and 43% A making it another close call. Although this T contradicts the Thinking over Feeling part it does make sense to me because I think that the weaknesses that come with ENTP make me self-conscience when expressing my opinions because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. The fact that I have a more sensitive and a more logical side I think explains why the result for T vs A is so close.
Finally, for my Left brain vs Right brain test, I got 43% and 57% again, with the left brain being slightly more active. I think both of my personalities coincide well making me the logically driven, sarcastic, and opinionated person I am.

  62. The four letter types I got was ISFJ-T. Specifically I am
    75% introverted
    61% observant
    78% feeling
    65% judging
    67% Turbulent
Most of these did not come as a surprise to me as I am a fairly emotional person and tend to stay out of the spotlight when at social events. I enjoy making people feel happy and am a highly introverted person unless I am around the right people. I was surprised that my T and A was so close though, as I see myself as a very easily stressed person. For my left and right brain test I got 54% right brained and 44% left brained. I was actually quite surprised by how close the two percentages were as I was expecting that one would out way the other, but I am not quite sure what I was expecting. Overall, I really enjoyed taking the tests and learning more about my and other's personalities and feel like they represented me fairly well for the shy/introverted person I am.

  63. My results that I got back were ENFJ-T I am 69% extraverted, 51% intuitive, 68% feeling, 53% judging and 60% turbulent. I wasn't too surprised when I found out I was mainly extroverted because I am very outgoing person and love to start conversations and talk to any people. My intuitive did not surprise me too much either just because it may see odd but I can tell from my gut if something's off with situations or people nothing huge or anything just sometimes things seem different. Also with feeling I tend to listen to my heart much more than my head. I find myself making more emotional decisions than logical. My judging score did make me a little upset just because I try to be a really pure person and I don't like to judge others so that kinda took me by surprise. My turbulent score was pretty accurate considering I am perfectionist when it comes to certain things in life. Overall I think my personality test was very accurate other than the judging person. For the test to see what side of my brain I use the most I found that I was fairly equal on both sides my right side being 54% and my left being 46%. The biggest word on the right was creative and I really thought that was accurate considering I usually like to take different approaches to things that are different. And the left side being symbolic. I am not too sure what symbolic would mean when it comes to me as a person but I would love to learn more about myself

  64. My results were ENFP-A. I have taken this quiz twice before, and the first time I was ENFP-T, and last year I was ENTP-T. Though my letters have mostly remained the same, I was surprised by the percentages. For the past two years I was around 85% extroverted, however, this time it was 63%. I also saw a change from being turbulent in previous years to assertive this year. I like that I have become more confident in myself and in my actions. I suppose that may be why my percentage of extroversion dropped dramatically.

For the second quiz, I am Left brain inclined - Symbolic. My percentages were 53% left brain and 47% right brain. I am not too surprised by this, I feel that I can be "left-brained" or "right-brained" in different situations.

  65. After taking the test, it determined that my personality matched that of an “Advocate” (INFJ-T). In detail, it showed that I was 61% Introverted, 52% Intuitive, 64% Feeling, 76% Judging, & 88% Turbulent. My results did not really surprise me since I already knew that I am a pretty shy person all around, but once I become close to a person or a group of people, I will become more extroverted, though it does take some time. I am also a very intuitive person because I usually go with my gut whenever I either don’t trust a person or feel weirded out by a certain situation. Furthermore, I am a very emotional person and I have been known to “wear my heart on my sleeve” which also adds to how sensitive I am. Unfortunately because of this, I have made some pretty illogical choices or decisions in my life. Though, it was a rare occasion. The result I was surprised by however, was that of the 76% Judging score. This shocked me since I really don’t like when people judge other people for who they are or what life they have. So, I tend to stray away from judgement. I am also very sensitive towards judgement because of past situations involving, for lack of better terms, people not minding their own business. My turbulent score, on the other hand, did not surprise me because I am a huge perfectionist and like the test says, I am very self-conscious of the work I produce and of myself in general, much to people’s surprise. This also leads me to always needing a plan or a to-do list so that I don’t get too stressed out about school and home life. I am also very opposed to the most inevitable thing in life: change, along with always being frustrated when spontaneous plans are made or when people do things without thinking. My mom used to poke fun at this because when I was younger I used to scream out “But mom I need order in my life! I hate change!” which now makes sense considering my personality traits. After this test, I went on to take the left or right-brained test. Here, it determined that I used my left brain more. Again, I wasn’t too surprised because I have always been a somewhat more logical person even when I am super emotional. I also love finding out “fun facts” or just ensuring I always have a fact to back up my opinion. What did surprise me was that it said I would be more likely to read non fiction books because I am left-brained, but I do not like reading those types of books because I feel they are boring! I have always been a fan of imaginative stories or just mystery in general. Overall, I thought taking these tests was so much fun to do since now I know why I am the way I am. But, it is also so interesting to see how different we all are in our own, unique, and special ways.

  66. On the personality quiz, I got ENFJ-T, or extroverted, intuitive, feeling, judging, and turbulent. The first trait, extroverted, is the trait I see most clearly in myself and I completely agree with it. I have always seen myself as an extroverted individual, although there are times when I feel introverted, too. Intuitive is also one that I agree with; I feel that in many situations I go by my gut-feeling opposed to rational thinking, which may or may not be a good thing. I agree partially with the trait of "feeling," as I do consider myself to be a fairly emotional person. But I try not to let my emotions get in the way of me thinking logically and rationally. I do not consider myself to be a very judging person, however. Of course, I am human and I judge people unconsciously sometimes. But I do not feel that I do it as often as some people that surround me in my daily life. Finally, I do also consider myself to be turbulent. I often do find that I get caught up in trying to perfect minor things or that I can't stop doing something until I get it perfectly. But it is something I have been working on as of late. Overall, I do feel this quiz accurately represent my personality, and I also feel that it is important to take it, or something similar to it, many times throughout your life to monitor yourself and any changes in your personality. Also, it's just fun to do (for me at least). WOOOO!

  67. This time around, this test will be my third time taking it. I am unsure about my exact percentages and letters from my previous attempt but, I have yet again receives "the debater". Its interesting to see my percentages because I have quite an extroverted result. I am an ENTP-T. I also have a high percentage for prospector sector of the test which I can verify in terms of opportunities I have encountered/ Its interesting to see that I am generally the same person but in different rations. I also happened to be left brained analytic which perfectly matches with my personality result. ITs very interesting because I would normally not see myself in that light.

  68. My results that I received were ESTJ-T. According to the quiz is am 68% Extroverted, 56% Observant, 53% Thinking, 69% judging , and finally 82% Turbulent. When observing that I received a 68% on being Extroverted I didn't have any objections because I am a very outgoing person and I like to talk to new people. With being 56% observant it really expresses how aware of my surrounding I really am. The one that I was surprised about was being 69% judging. As a person I try to include everybody and I was confused as to how I got that score at first. After I went on to read about what each score means and it further went on to how being judging can also mean being organized and keeping your options open which is what I like.

With the second test my results were that I was more left brained. This is a shock but it also isn't compared to being right brained (if that makes any sense). I don't feel creative when it comes to certain aspects but I also don't feel very math orrented.

  69. After taking this test I got the same exact results as last year being ENTJ-T. I remember last time I said that I felt that this didn't accurately represent me as a person because it said that these types tend to exude a lot of confidence, but at this point in my life, I kind of agree. It also stated that these individuals are extremely energetic which is super true to my current state where I am so sleep deprived that it for some reason adds to the amount of energy I have being at a very high level. In addition it said that I can tend to be arrogant and cold at times, which I refused to believe last year, but feel as though is more true to me. The only thing is I feel like my confidence and sarcasm can come of as cockiness and arrogance at times. When looking at the "being cold" aspect of my personality I feel as though it is only to an extent where Im only cold when something is bothering me, other than that im a fairly easy going person. I got the same results in my left and right brain test as well being that I am right brain dominant by 5%.

  70. My results for the test were ESTJ-T: the Executive. Last time I took this test, a year ago, I got the same result, which was interesting because before taking the test, I was wondering if I would be the same since my junior year was a time of change for me. Most of the personality traits fit me perfectly: I always take control and am a very task-oriented person. However, looking back on my percentages from last year, I’ve become 10% more extroverted, which was something I expected because my junior year was the most extroverted time of my life. I also became a little less turbulent/ a little more assertive. Last year, I was 94% turbulent and this year I am 83%. I’m glad to have become less turbulent because I think that reflects that I have gotten more confident. I would love to take this again next year and see how my senior year affects me.

My personality is called the "Logician", and my Strategy is Constant Improvement, which makes sense, since I am rarely satisfied with the work I do, and I never feel like I am finished. I am also unsurprised to be very left-brained, since I am very logical. However, I think I have enough creativity that the test results are skewed a little much in the left-brain direction. I am very much a mixture of creativity and logic, as I see it.

  75. For the first test, I am an INFJ-T or the "Advocate". I'm not surprised at all. Really, this test was pretty accurate. I do agree with the fact that I look at the world with an open mind. For the most part, I don't like choosing one argument and I like to find that middle ground, especially in disagreements with others. In fact, I like listening to people and understanding their perspectives. As for the feeling aspect, it's again very accurate. I'm almost too emotional. However, I feel like it allows me to connect with people more strongly. As for the second test, I was extremely surprised to find myself 66% Left-Brained. All of my life I believed I was more right-brained. I guess that's because I like art and I always thought that that would make me more right-brained. However, I do think that I tend to rely on a lot of logic and think that I tend to be pretty A-type personality. I think that that makes a lot of sense. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing though.

  76. The first time I did this test, I was ENFJ-T, which was not surprising AT ALL. Now, I am ENTP-A/-T, the debater. This is not a surprise to me as my ENTIRE family says I like to have the last word and am always "arguing" and question why things are the way they are. This quote provided by the website perfectly describes my thinking and explains the way I am: "Playing the devil’s advocate helps people with the Debater personality type to not only develop a better sense of others’ reasoning, but a better understanding of opposing ideas – since Debaters are the ones arguing them." This explains why I am so intrigued by crime/murder tv shows, murders, and criminals. Though I do not plan to pursue a career that fits these interests, it would probably be floating in the back of my mind as I get older. As a debater, I do tend to ponder about the future and especially the past. I often think of how certain situations would have been different if I had spoken up or if I had kept quiet. Unfortunately (and somewhat FORTUNATELY haha), my ADHD also makes me think TOO much of the past and future and how I would want things to be now.

  77. Through this test I found that I am INFP-T. I remember coming across this test before and taking it and not really thinking anything of it, however this time I really took the time to look at the descriptions of my archetype and what I saw really surprised me. It didn't surprise me because it was information that I didn't know, it surprised me because it was information that I did know about myself. Everything that it touched on was spot on and really helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses in the certain categories. For example in the actual strength and weaknesses categoris it highlighted on how one of my flaws is that I take things too personally which is something I struggle with on the daily so it was really cool to me how the test was able to pick up on that from the simple questoins that I answered. When I took the brain test it said that I was 63% left brained which really surprised me because I expected myself to be more in the middle. Order and logic is important to me but I also base the majority of my decisions off of emotion seen in the first test so it surprised me that I was so left brained than right.

  78. I found that I am a commander, and I am left brained, 60 vs. 40. I am a natural born leader and I tend to take action and use lots of logic. I'm much more analytical. I find this true, because in an argument, if your going to get hurt, cool. I use logic and facts to win an argument vs. emotion. I'm pretty happy with my results.

  80. The personality it had found was the Debater personality type. The short summary of the personality is, "Smart and curious thinkers who can not resist an intellectual challenge.", and I find it to be exactly right. The reason I had taken the DP classes in the first place was for this exact reason! I did not wish to earn college credits, but I wanted the ability to learn and get a challenge out of my classes! Also out of a survey of over 8,000 people, it says that Debaters are the most sarcastic personality; and if my parents have any input then they will definitely agree! I do find myself being very harsh mentally sometimes during an argument even though I do my best to not let it show. I am constantly thinking of the big picture even though the "grunt work" is the bane of my existence. The big picture is impossible without the grunt work! So I'm certain you can see my reasoning for not liking busy work! (thank you for never giving us by the way"

Even though sometimes I may not show it, I can understand how I personally fit into the categories based on my actions and personal thoughts/thought process.

  82. After having taken the test, I was evaluated to hold the characteristics of ENTP-T, The Debater. Having previously taken the test, I remembered receiving the same result, and am thus confident in its accuracy. I am pleased to have retained the same characteristics as it maintains that I am convicted and consistent in my attitudes towards the situations presented. Furthermore, the description of the thoughts and expressions indicative of a Debater align with my mannerisms, heightening my perception of the label's validity. However, the last time I took the test I was shown as assertive, whereas I am now turbulent, however only by a 54 to 46 ratio, thus fluctuation may be dependent upon only a few answers.
The results of the brain side test show that I am 70% left brain, which makes sense as I don't identify as a creative in most respects. While some activities I enjoy would be anomalous against the left brain characteristic, I suppose that is accounted for in the 30% remaining. This was the expected result truthfully speaking.

  83. The first test I got ESFJ-T, the consul, which is not that surprising. But when it said that consuls are usually popular people I feel like I'm not very popular, like I know a lot of people but I'm not a person that everybody knows. Besides that one thing everything was pretty spot on with how I am and what I am like. The second test showed that I was 40% left brain and 60% right brain which again is not very surprising. I feel like I am pretty creative person so when I got these test results I was like it makes sense. The only thing is that I thought was crazy I was going to be a lot more right brain and a lot less left. It was really cool to take these test to find out truly what my personality is and what makes me, me.

  84. This year, once again, I am a mediator (INFP, -A/-T). I didn't expect my results to change, and this year I'd say that I recognize mediator traits in myself more than ever. I find myself incredibly driven by principles and I believe there's good in all people to a fault. When I'm wronged, I look at what I did wrong and take too long to recognize that sometimes it's just not my fault. Not only that but I feel as if very few people actually know me. I find myself trying to be a different version of myself for other people and while it means that I get along with almost everyone I know, I sometimes feel like I'm lying, and I find myself isolated when I'm feeling down. Hopefully I can recognize these negative traits in myself more frequently to better myself and the people around me.

I'm also 67% right-brained and 33% left-brained, which came as no surprise to me. When I was younger I was definitely more left-brained, but as I've grown older I've shifted dramatically to the right and I think that percentage is only going to keep getting higher.

    1. Oh, and I was INFP-T by the way. I didn't realize that I was one or the other when looking at the mediator heading. :)

  85. I am and INTP and a mediator, which I think fairly describes me. Seeing that the T I have and the F I could have had are fairly close, I am 51/49 when it comes to thinking and feeling. I sometimes can't separate my emotions from situations, and other times my decisions can be made off of a logical state of mind. I am also 60/40 right-brained. The website described it as being the creative and artistic side of the brain. I agree that I am an artist person and art is something that I had dedicated my life to.

  86. While taking the personality test and left or right brain dominance I have came to learn more about myself then I thought. I learned that I am an ENFP-T and I have a more left sided dominant brain. I am honestly not surprised by the results from the personality test. The reason behind this is because I am a very extroverted person who does show a lot of feelings towards different things that I am passionate for. I am also a pretty Turbulent person. I am a perfectionist, and am easily stressed - especially when there are a lot of things on my plate. I already knew these things and could’ve told you myself, but being able to take the test and get told that I am those things helped prove my point.. When I did take the left or right brain dominance test I was very surprised to see my results. My result for the left or right brain dominance test ended up being left dominant. I was mainly surprised by this based on the fact that I am not good at math, and finding out that I have a more mathematical brain was very surprising to me. But,I am now wondering why my brain isn’t better functioning at solving math problems because that would be very helpful!! That’s okay though, because a better way to think about these results are through the fact that I have a better chance at solving different problems or hard situations that come into my life, and being able to use the side of my brain that other people don’t because being right side dominant is most common. So in a way, you could say that I’m special. But then again everyone technically is because we are all unique in our own ways.

    E- Extroversion
    N- Intuitive
    F- Feeling
    P- Perceiving or Prospecting
    T- Turbulent
(I swore I had put my response to this blog in here but apparently I didn't. It says the last edit was on the 26th of September, and I have a screenshot to show you in class :) )

  87. When I took the personality test again, I was shocked! The results were so different from last year and I wasn’t sure it was true so I took it again and I got the same result just with slightly different results. Apparently, my personality is a “Consul” (ESFJ-T) which is the opposite of last year when I got INFJ-T. The percent details were 56% Extroverted, 63% Observant, 79% Feeling, 67% Judging, and 72% Turbulent. The fact that I was identified as an Extrovert comes as a shock to me but once I really thought about it, I realized that my introversion and extroversion percents are almost 50/50 and I can be quite an extrovert at times since I usually always find myself talking with people or join in on just about anyone’s conversation even if I don’t really know them. I also really love to make people smile and try to make it my goal every day. Though I still feel that I’m still an introvert at heart. My percents also said that I am more observant rather than intuitive, which I think is true. Other than this, surprisingly the other percentages were pretty much the same as last year. Next, I took the left vs. right brain test, and it determined I use more of my left brain by 63% vs. 37% right brain. I agree with these results since I have always been more of a logical person even when I get stressed out or emotional. The last test was the Harry Potter test and my results said that I would have been placed in the house of Hufflepuff with 84%, the second was Ravenclaw, third was Gryffindor and my lowest score was Slytherin. Overall, I feel that these tests revealed some crazy things that I never would have thought I was, however, I’m glad to see how much I’ve changed in only a year and I am excited to see if I will continue to change! :)
