LITERALLY WELCOMED!

Welcome to the OI Honors Language and Literature Blogspot.
Here, I will post queries to ponder, quotes to inspire, and excerpts that
help us explore the great power of words...

Shakespeare, the master, said it best:  The pen is mightier than the sword.
Words can manipulate and persuade, but they are also our tools of
resistance.

Remember that always!

  1. I believe this quote is saying that words are stronger or more powerful than actions. As in, words are stronger than a sword fight. Am I the only one who could come up with this analysis? I feel like Shakespeare might've put it this simple to make sure everyone understands it, but could there be another meaning? I seriously can't think of one. Either way I like this quote, just felt like putting my thoughts on here to see if anyone can relate to my way of thinking (:
